Frequently Asked Questions and Answers for Carsharing
Below you will find an overview of all the most important questions and answers related to the operation of shared cars, what is included in the price, what to look out for, how to refuel, or what to do in the event of an accident.
Registration
Who can use the services?
Anytime carsharing services can be used by people over 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license. Shared scooters can be rented from the age of 16 if you have a driver’s license.
We accept driving licenses issued by European Union (EU) member states – Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Austria, Greece, Republic of Cyprus, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom or European Economic Area (EEA) states – Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Andorra, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Driving licenses issued by other countries may only be used for a period of 6 months from the date of entry into the EU. Along with the driver’s license, it is necessary to submit an officially certified translation of the document into Czech, or an international driver’s license, as well as a passport, proof of residence in the territory of an EU country, and proof of entry into the territory of the EU (boarding pass, entry visa, proof of residence permit).
An international driver’s license does not replace a driver’s license from the country of origin, and it is therefore necessary to have both documents with you during the rental.
What is Anytime carsharing?
Anytime provides hundreds of cars for rent and available in Prague, Kladno and Pilsen 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
There is no fee for registering or booking a vehicle!
You can drive in the Anytime Permitted Zone, which is the territory of the Czech Republic. Abroad, these are selected areas of Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. The boundaries of the Permitted Zone are marked in the mobile application.
You don’t have to worry about late return fees. You only pay for the time you use the vehicle and our per-minute prices and price packages include the cost of fuel, washing, maintenance and highway vignette.
You can check the boundaries of the Permitted Zone on the maps of the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application (red changes to green on IOS devices, blue changes to purple on Android devices). This means that you can use the vehicle for as long as you want, you just have to return it and end the ride in the so-called home zone, which is marked in the mobile application.
How can I register?
Before you start using the service, you need to register via the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application. To register, you need the following information:
- name and surname
- your mobile phone number
- e-mail address
You also need to send a photo of some documents and take a selfie:
- identity card from both sides
- driver’s license from both sides
- selfie with your ID card
Please make sure that all attached documents and selfies are of good quality, without flash reflections, etc. The following information should be visible on the selfie with your ID card:
- name, surname, date of birth
- identity card number
Why can't I send photos from my phone and have to take them through the app?
To prevent misuse of other people’s personal data, documents may only be photographed using the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.
How do I get a verification code?
When you log in to the Anytime app, you will be asked to enter your phone number. A unique combination of characters will be sent to your mobile number in the form of an SMS.
How long does it take to verify submitted documents?
If everything is in order, the documents are usually verified within 15 minutes. We will inform you about the verification results by sending you an SMS and email. If your activation takes longer, please contact us via email info@anytimecar.cz.
How can I pay?
You can pay using your credit card (Mastercard or Visa), which you connect to your user account in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application in the “Credit cards” folder as soon as you log in.
When entering your credit card details, please enter your first and last name as they appear on the card, the validity period and the CVC code. You can enter multiple credit cards. Please remember that your card settings must allow payments via the Internet and must have a positive balance of at least 5 crowns.

What does membership include?
- There is no flat fee.
- Registration in Anytime is completely free.
- You only pay for every minute you use the vehicle. There are no other fees.
- The service includes: 24/7 assistance service, highway vignette, fuel, car wash, free parking in blue and purple zones in Prague.
When can I start using the services?
You will be able to start your rental as soon as you receive an email and SMS from us confirming that your registration is complete. Please note that it usually takes us 15 minutes to verify your documents.
How can I download the app?
You can download the Anytime carsharing CZ mobile application for IOS devices on the Appstore and for Android devices on Google Play.
About the cars
What vehicles are used in Anytime?
In Prague we offer for rent the Toyota Yaris, Toyota Corolla Hatchback and Combi, Toyota C-HR and Toyota Aygo X. All models have automatic transmission and, except for the Toyota Aygo, they are hybrid. From the scooter range we have the Yuki Matrix, Yuki Via and Yamaha Razer.
Are the vehicles insured?
Yes. All vehicles are insured with compulsory liability insurance. The compulsory liability insurance fees are already included in our prices.
What is the amount of liability for damage in the event of causing an accident?
The amount of liability varies by vehicle type:
Toyota Yaris, Aygo X – Liability in the event of a road accident up to CZK 24,999.
Toyota Corolla – Liability in the event of a road accident up to CZK 34,999.
Toyota C-HR – Liability in the event of a road accident up to CZK 44,999.
For clients who have had their first driving license for group B for less than 180 days, the liability in the event of a road accident is increased by CZK 20,000 compared to the standard price.
Are there booster seats or child car seats in the vehicles?
Unfortunately, booster seats or child car seats are not included in our vehicles. However, you can install them yourself in the car of your choice.
What equipment is included in the vehicles?
All our cars are equipped with the following equipment: Automatic transmission, parking camera, start-stop system, air conditioning, radio, front airbags, and ABS. Some cars also have Bluetooth.
Can I charge my phone in the car?
Our vehicles are equipped with a USB connector. If you have a USB cable with you, you can charge your mobile phone.
Can I reserve a car?
Yes. You search for and reserve a car directly in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application. You then have 20 free minutes to get to the vehicle. You can reserve one vehicle.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes. You can cancel your reservation without charge. In case of cancellation, subsequent reservations made within 24 hours will be charged at the Waiting rate.
Do I have to inspect the car before the rental begins?
Please inspect the vehicle carefully before starting the rental. To exclude liability, all damage must be reported before starting the trip. If the vehicle is damaged or dirty, you need to take a photo of the vehicle via the app. If the vehicle is severely damaged, it is better to call 253 253 007. If there is a flat tire, please report the flat tires to 253 253 007 and we will help you find the nearest available car. Please never drive with a flat or under-inflated tire due to liability for damage.
What documents are in the car?
Every car has a fuel card. Documents such as the technical certificate do not have to be in the car – we have them all electronically. If you need them, our operators can send them to you instantly via the chat in the app.
Are the vehicles equipped for winter?
Anytime vehicles are equipped with all-season tires, an ice scraper and a broom during the winter season. Most models even have heated seats! So you are always ready to enjoy your trip even in winter.
How to use
I changed my mobile phone number, what should I do?
To change your phone number, you need to write an email message from the email address provided in your user account to info@anytimecar.cz, attach a selfie with your ID card, and provide your new phone number.
How to reserve/rent a car?
You search for and reserve a car directly in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application. You then have 20 free minutes to get to the vehicle. After 20 minutes, the car will still be reserved for you, but it will switch to the charged Waiting tariff.
Before you start renting, please make sure that you have enough funds on your payment card in an amount that will correspond to the length of your trip. If there are not enough funds on your card, you can reserve the vehicle and add funds to your account in the meantime.
You can reserve one vehicle. You can use the 20-minute free reservation without restrictions before each trip.
Only in the event of cancellation of the reservation will subsequent Reservations made within 24 hours be charged at the Waiting rate.
Where are the keys?
You don’t need keys to open the car and start the rental – you open the car using the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.
To start the car, you need to take over the car by pressing the “Rent” button in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application and then start the vehicle using the Start/Stop button.
Where can I go?
You can move around the entire Allowed Zone (the territory of the Czech Republic + selected parts of Germany, Poland, Austria and Slovakia)

Can I go to another city?
Yes. You can travel to another city, park there and switch the car to Waiting mode.
However, your trip must always start and end in the Home Zone.
For trips abroad, you may only use the vehicle within the Permitted Zone, i.e. for trips to selected parts of Germany, Poland and Slovakia. You can open the borders of the Permitted Zone in the maps of the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.
We recommend that you check your Home Zone in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.
Can I go abroad?
Travel abroad is currently only allowed to selected parts of Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. You can check the boundaries of the permitted zone on the maps of the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.
When traveling abroad, do not forget to purchase a valid highway vignette for the country in question.
What is the Home Zone? Can I drive outside of it?
The Home Zone is an area within Prague, Kladno and Pilsen in which Anytime cars can move and the rental can be terminated there.
You can also travel to another city, but your trip must always start and end in the Home Zone, i.e. in Prague or Kladno. For trips abroad, you may use the vehicle within the Allowed Zone, which are selected parts of Germany, Poland and Slovakia. Terminating the rental outside the Home Zone is not possible. You can check the Allowed Zones on the maps of the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.
How can I end my rental?
To end the rental, you need to park the vehicle within the Home Zone, in accordance with the road traffic regulations and in a publicly accessible place that is not paid or in the so-called blue and purple zones. Please check that the windows, doors and trunk lid are closed, move the automatic transmission selector to the “P” position, turn off the ignition by pressing the “Stop” button. Get out of the vehicle, close the doors and press the “End” button in the mobile application. Anytime will thank you by flashing the headlights. Please make sure that the vehicle is locked by pulling the handle.
I can't end the rental.
Before ending the rental, you need to make sure that:
- You are in the Home Zone
- You have Internet access on your mobile phone
- The doors, windows and trunk lid are closed
- The automatic transmission selector is in the “P” position
- The vehicle engine is turned off

How to refuel a car?
For your convenience, we provide a prepaid fuel card for each Anytime vehicle, refueling is free.
Before refueling, please press the Refuel button in the application and follow the instructions displayed. For refueling, you will receive 100 bonuses.
Open the tank using the lever located on the lower left side next to the driver’s seat. To open the tank, pull the lever upwards.
Can I drive on the highway?
Yes, Anytime cars can drive on the highway at any time, the vehicles have an electronic highway vignette for the Czech Republic.
What should I do if I find foreign objects in my car?
All losses and finds must be reported by phone 253 253 007.
We will try to help return lost items to their owners. We ask you to place the items in the trunk or, conversely, secure the vehicle and leave the collection of the item to us.
If it is a dangerous item, we ask you to contact the Police.
Anytime does not assume responsibility for items left in our vehicles. Please be considerate and inform us of found items as soon as possible.
What happens if a vehicle is photographed for speeding?
It would be a shame if this happens. In this case, the relevant authorities will probably contact us and indicate the time and place of the traffic violation and will request the name of the driver.
We will then have no other option than to provide the driver’s name and you will then have to pay the fine. If we have to pay a fine for you, we will then request its payment from you.
You are responsible for all violations and fines imposed on us as a result of violating traffic regulations and also, for example, in a situation where the vehicle is towed. Information about the imposed fine is sent to your registered email.
Are there any other fees and fines?
Most rides will end up being fined for you and your passengers without any additional costs. However, sometimes fines are imposed for improper use of the vehicle. Fines are imposed to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the service for all users. Information about all other payments and fines can be found in General Terms and Conditions.
What should I do if my car has been towed?
In the event of a vehicle being towed due to your violation of traffic regulations, you will need to pay a fine in accordance with General Terms and Conditions. Then you need to call 253 253 007, provide the towing address and provide cooperation in picking up the vehicle.
Can I smoke in the car?
Smoking in our cars is strictly prohibited, including smoking electronic cigarettes, IQOS, pipes, and wipes.

Can I give my Anytime user account to someone else?
Unfortunately not, every user has their own account.
If you know someone who would like to use Anytime services, recommend that they register and create their own user account. You can invite them to register via the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application in the ‘Promo code’ tab. Send them your unique promo code along with a link to download the application. If they register, they will receive 200 bonus points and as soon as they make their first trip, you will also receive 200 bonus points!
Please note that it is strictly forbidden to leave the driving to another person. Handing over the driving or communication means enabling the driving (i.e. providing access to your account in the Anytime Carsharing CZ application) will result in a fine in accordance with General Terms and Conditions.
Can I transport animals?
Transporting animals in a car is only permitted if the animal is transported in a special and suitable transport box and the animal does not come into contact with the interior of the vehicle. Transporting large animals is prohibited. In the event of leaving hair in the vehicle, charges may be imposed for cleaning the vehicle.
Can I transport heavy cargo?
Transportation of heavy loads is not permitted.
What should I do if I changed documents?
In case of a change in your ID or driver’s license, please send us a new document to info@anytimecar.cz
User account
How can I log in to my user account?
You can edit your user account details, payment details, view recent trips, etc. in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.
How can I edit my personal information?
To prevent misuse of personal documents and fraud, personal data cannot be changed online in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application. To change your personal data, please send copies of your changed documents to email info@anytimecar.cz. Attach a copy of your marriage certificate, registered partnership certificate, name change certificate, etc., along with a selfie with your ID card.
Where can I find out the details of my trips?
Details about recent trips will be displayed in the Anytime Carsharing CZ application, in your personal profile, under the “My trips” tab.
What should I do if I change the information on my driver's license?
To prevent misuse of personal documents and fraud, driving license information cannot be changed online. To change the information on your driving license, please send a copy of your changed driving license to email info@anytimecar.cz. Attach a copy of your new driver’s license along with a selfie with your driver’s license in hand.
Parking
Can I leave my car in a paid parking lot?
If you wish to end the rental, you can do so in the Home Zone. It is not allowed to end the rental in underground garages, on sidewalks, in closed, specialized parking lots, in private parking lots, in places where there is no GPS signal or Internet access, in places designated for parking people with disabilities, in places designated for trucks, in paid parking lots that are not part of a public parking zone, or behind obstacles that prevent the vehicle from moving later. You can also end the rental in the blue or purple zone.
Can I park in shopping malls or private parking lots?
You can park in shopping malls or similar private parking areas if:
- You pay the parking fee
- You do not end the rental in that parking area
- GPS and Internet signal are available
- You return the vehicle to a public parking area according to legal regulations.
Can I park and not terminate the lease?
If you need a car and don’t want to end the rental, you can park without ending the rental. Simply lock the vehicle via the Anytime Carsharing CZ app and switch it to the paid Waiting mode. The car will remain available to you.
How do I know if I am outside the Home Zone?
You can always track your position and Home Zone in the Anytime app.
What happens if a parking ticket is issued or the car is towed?
You are responsible for any fines incurred during your rental or afterwards, for example due to improper parking or leaving the vehicle in an unauthorized zone. In addition to fines, you will have to pay handling fees.
If I see a car in a paid parking lot, can I rent it and then return it?
If you see an Anytime vehicle parked incorrectly (for example in a paid parking lot), please call 253 253 007 and we will remind the previous user of our parking rules.
Payment
How can I pay for the rental?
Payments are made according to your tariff.
Funds are automatically debited from your credit card that you have connected to your user account in the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application, so make sure that there are enough funds on your card to start the rental.
Visa or Mastercard credit cards with the option of online payments can be used.

If the receivable is not paid within 24 hours, you will be charged a contractual penalty of 0.05% of the outstanding amount for each day of delay in accordance with General Terms and Conditions.
Are there any flat fees?
No, you don’t pay any flat-rate fees. You only pay for the trips you make.
What happens if payment is not made?
If your payment card cannot be settled, your user account will be temporarily blocked. If the receivable is not paid within 24 hours, you will be charged a contractual penalty of 0.05% of the outstanding amount for each day of delay in accordance with General Terms and Conditions.
Can I pay the due receivable in another way?
You can add another payment card to your user account via the Anytime Carsharing CZ mobile application.

What should I do if my Anytime account is blocked?
This means that you are in default with the payment of the due amount.
Don’t worry, your account will be unblocked again after the due amount is paid.
However, if you do not pay the claim within 24 hours, you will be charged a contractual penalty of 0.05% of the outstanding amount for each day of delay until payment is made in accordance with General Terms and Conditions.

When will the amount be debited from my credit card?
Funds are automatically debited from the payment card when you reach CZK 200 or after the ride ends.
What rate applies after the daily rental ends?
If you choose a package and your trip takes longer, you will be charged a per-minute rate according to the current price list after the package expires.
How can I get Anytime bonuses?
You can easily earn bonus points.
1. Invite friends
If you know someone who would like to use Anytime services, send them a link directly from the Anytime Carsharing CZ application, item in the menu “Promo code”.
In addition to the link to download the application, you will also send them your promo code. You can share the invitation with your promo code via SMS, email, or social networks.
If your friends register and take their first ride, you will receive a reward of 200 points and your friend will even receive 200 bonus points to their user account.
There is no limit to the number of friends you can invite.
2. Refuel
When you refuel an Anytime car according to the instructions of the Customer Line operator, you will receive 100 bonus points to your user account.
Please do not forget to contact the operator on tel. 253 253 007, otherwise we would not be able to pay for the fueling for you and we would not be able to award you bonus points.
You can monitor the status of your bonus account in the Anytime Carsharing CZ application.
How can I use Anytime bonuses?
If you have bonuses credited to your account, you can use them to pay 50% of the rental amount until all bonuses are used up.
Unexpected events
What should I do if there is a traffic accident?
Immediately dial 112 and wait for the arrival of the Czech Police. Also, please call our customer line 253 253 007 and inform us about the accident. The customer line number can always be found in the Anytime Carsharing CZ application.
What should I do if I have a flat tire or my car breaks down?
In the event of a vehicle breakdown, flat tire or damage, please contact our customer service line 253 253 007. Never attempt to repair it yourself without consulting us.
How much do I have to pay if there is a traffic accident?
If you are not responsible for the traffic accident and have not violated the terms of the Contract, then you are not liable for damages. If you are at fault for the accident, but have not violated the Contract, then the amount of compensation depends on the type of rate you have chosen before the start of the rental. What should I do if I am stopped by the police?
If a police officer asks you to, show your driver’s license and vehicle documents. A copy of the vehicle documents is in the passenger compartment.
